After Goldie is picked up, Reddick and Holder question him at the police station. Goldie is asked a question but before he can answer, Reddick, with a very smug look on his face, tells Goldie "Think, think before you answer". Is Reddick's statement meant to get the truth from Goldie, or possibly a warning to keep his mouth shut about what and who Goldie might know.
After Season 1 and 2, I don't trust the police at all.

Dang! Good Reddick detail! Yeah, I really dig how this show doesn't try to paint cops as crusading heroes without flaws. But it also helps you understand a cop like Reddick, that not caring too much is how you keep your home life sane.

My Top 3 Suspects (not necessarily in order..)
1. Reddick...his actions are very strange. He doesn't act like a cop at all...as a matter of fact he acts like he doesn't even care about these dead girls
2. Becker...the fact that he took Henderson to his house was very strange. What was the purpose for that scene except hearing his wife say that he was never at home. And his utter hatred towards Seward..he knows he's not guilty but Becker wants him to take the fall
3. Pastor Mike...he seems to be trusted by the kids and those are the types you have to watch. My problem is that they haven't shown him for 2 weeks

I [reservedly] think it's possible Seward killed not only his wife but also the other 17. Maybe a resentful someone who's aware of his intractable death wish is messing with him by copying his MO in the recent murders -- thereby casting doubt on his guilt in the hope it'll delay or stop the execution Seward seems to welcome.
On the other hand, I thought Seward slipped a little when Linden went to visit him and mentioned his wife's finger having been broken. When she asked him about the wedding ring, IMO there was something unconvincing/impromptu when he said he'd pawned it. So maybe he didn't even kill his wife...

My problem is that they haven't shown him for 2 weeks I thought it was fishy that Reddick was so eager to opt out of the Ashley Kwon case. Was it because he feared being ID'ed by people in The Jungle who he'd necessarily have to question in the course of the investigation? I can't work out the reason for the 3-5 year hiatus though if Reddick is the killer. Becker's on my list as well but, if he's the killer, why the hiatus of 3-5 years? One explanation could be he's messing with Seward and his eagerness to be executed. Maybe Becker's plan has been to punish Seward for savagely assaulting his cousin (IF that assault occurred during an incarceration that preceded the murder of Seward's wife) by resuming the killings on the eve of Seward's execution -- which have cast doubts on Seward's guilt and could postpone or thwart Seward's death wish. And since Henderson's a new corrections officer, maybe the hiatus could be explained by something like his service in the military. |
