"What I (think I) Know" Either in Season 1 or 2, when Linden first tells Holder about Adrian, the picture and his mom and Ray, Sarah recalls the whole tragedy and it seems she might have a few doubts that Ray was the killer. One of the things that bothered her was the killer supposedly went out the apartment window. I think she said 'Why didn't Ray just walk out the apartment door?'
OK, maybe I have all this wrong BUT if Ray came back to the apartment that night and the killer heard him, maybe it was the killer who went out the apartment window. Now I know that happened some years ago, but, there is no way Evan Henderson jumped out that window, maybe Reddick, but probably not.
Also, the last episode of Season 3 is being called "The Road To Hamelin"..the classic poem "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" is where the piper leads the children away from Hamelin not to Hamelin..
I am still thinking that Twitch is involved in some way. I just am stumped this Season. I want to say Goldie, Mama Dips or Danette is involved, but how?

Small point, Sunny. I don't believe we've been asked to envision anyone "jumping out" the apartment window. Rather, climbing down the fire escape. Which any of our players would be capable of doing...

Yeah, you are correct. Just can't picture Henderson scrambling. But then, I can't picture Reddick scrambling, either. Maybe murdering someone gets the old adrenalin going.
I still think Twitch is involved somehow.

Becker & Skinner's wife are my prime suspects, reposting my theory posted on AMC forum
Okay, I have a theory. What if Becker and Skinner's wife are doing it together? According to me both have clear motives to do it. A ring was taken a trophy. And it's been suggested that infidelity could be the reason for the killer(s) to take rings (symbol of wedding ring). When it comes to infidelity, only two characters are at the receiving end. Becker (his wife cheats on him) and Skinner's wife (Skinner cheated on her with Linden, he may have been an adulterer. And whenever his wife was on screen, she looked unhappy and angry). Becker lures the girls and Skinner's wife kills them (may be that explains why there is no semen). How did these two became co-killers, that I don't know. But these two have a clear motive to go down on that path. As for Trisha, may be Adrian and Trisha saw Becker dumping the bodies from the tree house. They later went to the house and killed her. Killer has to be someone with considerable amount of screen time. Becker had a considerable amount of screen time due to the death row scenes. Lol, it could be a stupid theory. But after reading all those wonderful theories for the past 2 months this is the best I could come up with. May be there are so many holes in my theory. But, let me also have a theory Wink

Love that you laid out a theory aravind - you not only named names but explained! Ditto about the symbolism of the trophy-taking as a clue to motive. The Killer sure seems to be making a big statement and there are several characters who could want to make it! That's one reason why I think Ray is the Pied Piper. He's the one person we know for sure who may have punished his spouse's infidelity in an extreme way, a way so similar to the Seventeen. Plus, he's charmed a lot of viewers (bravo Peter Sarsgaard!) so I can believe he charmed the victims too. Just what I'd expect of a Pied Piper. I like my theory but I'm still bracing myself, knowing the odds - so many suspects to choose from!
